Drop in ad clicking (32% to 16%)

In today's class, we discussed the abrupt decrease in ads clicking that is taken place recently. I have a personal experience to share. I remember not too long ago, in one of my friend's house, he was browsing the internet and we were looking for something in the web... I was surprised when I saw him click in some banners that appeared in the screen. Right after, he was disappointed, because that click lead him to some advertisement page.

I just told him that he had actually clicked on the ad... so this was expected. But to my surprise, he told me: "And how can you differentiate what is a banner and what is real content???"

Basically, this is the point, the more "web-educated" people will become, the less of this accidental clicking will happen... and I guess there are still a lot of people around clicking "banners" when they think is real content.

By the way, I also would like to share this article about "Twitter and the Iran's Protests", further building in the issue that Salil brought up 3 or posts ago.
